ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN II

Cafeteria amount will increase to $1200 on January 1, 2007. Future salary adjustments, annual COLAs, and added top steps are guaranteed through 2009.

Engineering Technician II:
Under general supervision learns to provide and provides paraprofessional engineering support to the City’s public works engineering program.
Salary: $3,368 to $4,977/Month

Must be able to perform one or more of the following tasks, depending on job classification: Oversight of design consultants, construction management of capital projects, field inspection, plan review, AutoCAd, GIS and/or provide technical advice to consultant engineers, developers and residents. The projects will include streets, bridges, drainage, utilities and transportation planning.

REQUIREMENTS
One year of experience in computer aided drafting equipment, one year of sub-professional engineering experience and an associates degree in civil engineering, architectural drafting or related field.

Candidates will be required to pass a Background Investigation that may include physical, live scan, and reference checks.
