Crew Operator

This position reports to the Plant Manager and is responsible for operating plant equipment, assisting with quality control, and cross training in multiple positions throughout the plant.

Must have High School Diploma or equivalentAble to read and write in EnglishExcellent work history in similar work environment
Knowledge of OSHA regulations and requirementsMust have good attendance and personal safety record
Must be willing to work in a team environmentResponsibilities:
Become thoroughly familiar with the plant and cross-train in multiple positionsAssist in quality controlMaintain a clean and safe working environment
Able to work more than 8 hours per day, 40+ hours a week and up to 6 days per weekOperate all plant equipment as needed including forklift, loader, dump truck, bagger, and palletizer
Assist others as neededPhysical Requirements:Able to work in varied outdoors environment (hot,cold,dry, dust or rain)
Able to bend and stoop frequently. Able to reach around equipment to make adjustments/repairs
Lift items and products weighing up to 100 lbs at least 50 times per dayAble to climb stairs and ladders up to 40 feet. Up to 10 times per day
Manuel dexterity to operate equipmentAbility to walk on uneven surfaces and wet/slippery groundStand and work for up to 12 hours per dayEnvironmental Factors:
Exposure to sand,gravel,cement,flyash,grease,oil and hydraulic fluids. May also be exposed to cleaning fluids,acids,soaps,tar,asphalt and other chemicals.
