Controls Project Manager - Tennessee

Honeywell HBS is looking for a Project Manager in Tennesseeto manage large scale ($2M+) HVAC, controls and Integrated Building Management Systems projects in a commercial construction and/or retrofit environment.

 

Must be able to coordinate, plan, and schedule in detail a projects implementation, resources, and financial plan. Must be able to track and manage to this project plan and schedule. Must be able to plan, schedule and coordinate the activities of electrical, mechanical, network, and engineering subcontractors in a rapidly changing project environment. Must be extremely process driven with knowledge to labor laws, construction contracts, construction administration, and be familiar with the construction dispute resolution process. Must be able to manage to contract documents written scope of work to insure customer satisfaction. Must be able to anticipate, recognize, and negotiate changes from documented scope of work. Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and be very organized in work flow and documentation process. Must be able to provide written costs estimates, supporting narrative justifications, and proposals as necessary. Must be able to work multiple projects simultaneously in a lean administrative environment. Effective and proven relationship building skills are a must.

 Job Requirements

Basic Qualifications:
Minimum Associates or higher Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or similar discipline.
Minimum of 6 years increasingly responsible experience in a construction project management environment.
Authorized to work in the US.

 

Additional Qualifications:
Previous experience managing large scale projects with budgets in excess of  $2M.
Previous contract management experience and project management experience in a new construction or retrofit project environment.
Must have previous P&L experience
Must be computer literate and be able to use a variety of software packages
Must be a self-starter and be able to work both independently and in a team environment.
Must be able to pass background check and drug screen.
