In order to facilitate our exponential growth, we are seeking construction site managers who can plan, direct, and budget in coordination with a design professional, the implementation of landscape and hardscape installations. Projects regularly include the coordination of the following trades: excavation, carpentry, masonry, electrician, plumbing and engineering. The site manager supervises job foremen, work crews and subcontractors; and in turn reports to the Construction Manager. The site manager participates in the conceptual development of the project and oversees its organization, scheduling, and implementation. The site manager must communicate with both the client and design staff throughout the project. The site manager has responsibility for continuity and closure of the job. A portion of the compensation will be based upon the ability to complete projects and achieve targeted margins.
Responsibilities:

* Study job specifications to plan and approve construction of project. Includes determination of construction methods, labor, equipment and material requirements.

* Schedule the project in logical steps and budget time required to meet deadlines. Act as schedule enforcer.

* Direct and supervise workers and oversee subcontractors and site logistics.

* Interpret and excplain plans and contract terms to staff, workers and clients.

* Take actions to deal with the results of delays, bad weather or emergencies at the job site.

* Confer with supervisory personnel, owners, subcontrators and design professionals to discuss and resolve matters such as work procedures, complaints and construction problems.

* Document work performed and prepare progress and cost tracking reports.

* Develop and implement quality control programs.

* Inspect and review projects to monitor compliance with building and safety codes and other regulations.
REQUIREMENTS
* Knowledge of materials, methods and tools of landscape and hardscape construction.

* Working knowledge of construction standards.

* Ability to set grades and set out hardscapes per blueprint specifications.

* Understanding of drainage.

* Ability to execute a planting plan per blueprint specifications.

* Clarity in speech and communication, oral and written communication and comprehension; mathematical computation and problem solving skills; problem sensitivity; forward-thinking planning; respectful and professional attitude.
