Construction - Risk Engineers

World leader in insurance and financial services seeks Risk Engineers in the North/Central to Midwest states and in the Southeast. This is a unique opportunity to put to use all of the construction management skills that you have honed over time; while working out of a company-sponsored home office, on a schedule that is in your control. The position of Risk Engineer provides industry expert risk assessment services for customers and business partners associated with complex risks and/or exposures in the areas of Project Constructability, Contractor Pre-Qualification, Subcontractor Selection and Management, Contractor Performance and Default, Schedule and Performance Liquidated Damages, Professional Liabilities, and Construction Defects. One basically becomes an operations manager but without the pressure of bottom line responsibility; and without the heartburn.This position requires a BS/BA degree in Engineering or Construction Management; as well as a minimum of 15 years with a general contractor as an Assistant Project Manager and higher, with office and field experience. Hands on experience in estimating, scheduling, subcontract management and construction claims a plus. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
