Construction/Operations Manager

Job Type: ConstructionResponsibilities:This is a position for a person who has significant hands-on experience in construction and who will achieve total responsibility for small-scale projects and/or assumes a project role in the completion of certain elements within large-scale projects. In addition, this person will oversee a wide variety of field activities related to various Operation & Maintenance (O&M) projects. Out of town and out of state travel may be required.Duties include, but may not be limited to the following:Demonstrates proficiency in estimating, recordkeeping and the preparations of as-built drawings and records. Prepares schedules and job mobilization for project team. Develops and maintains a professional working relationship with the Design Divisions and/or clients and subcontractors. Reviews work plans, schedules, costs, and technical performance of projects. Works with Project Manger to direct resources for contractual obligations. Addresses any management, technical or administrative problems that arise during the project and to ensure program objectives are met. Supervise other construction/operation staff commensurate with interpersonal skills and relevant experience. Maintains log of daily activities and prepares related records as required. Serves in a variety of roles depending on the needs of the client and the individual’s capabilities. Adheres to the policies and standards set forth in the Firm’s Quality Management System Manual, Employee Manual and Corporate Health & Safety Manual. Demonstrates knowledge in General Construction, Mechanical, and Excavation work. REQUIREMENTS
Skills and Qualifications:Good knowledge of the practices used and the equipment required on construction projects Good knowledge of the practices used and the equipment required in the O&M of environmental facilities Good communication skills Demonstrated ability to work responsibly in a wide range of situations Environmental construction experience, a plus.
