Construction Manager needed in Florida
Purpose: Our Client is involved in providing excellent Architectural services to its clients including Conceptual designs, Schematic design and design development, Construction documents and specifications, cost analysis, project scheduling, computer aided design and drafting. Regarding Interior Design they work with the following facilities: Corporate Headquarters, Financial Institutes, Call centers, Operation and training, Educational, Retail Stores, Hotels, Restaurants, and Healthcare.
Working directly with the Company President and Development team, the primary role of the Construction Manager, on a project by project bases, will be responsible for construction related issues as required. As each project may have different structure with clients, the reporting structure and level of authority may vary from time or project by project.
The Construction Manager will be responsible for pre-construction budgeting and plan check, working drawing documentation and construction administration of assigned projects. He/She will also provide support to ensure the Project Tendering Process is conducted in a timely, effective and proper manner. In that role he/she will perform regular construction audits to report quality and schedule issues, advise on any construction issues that require attention by the contractor or the Client, assist in administering the construction contract and assist in ensuring a smooth completion, delivery and warranty period for the project.
Requirements for the position are as follows:
A minimum of 5 years experience managing a variety of construction projects and types of construction. Amount of experience will dictate the nature and scope of projects that will be assigned. A minimum of 3 years of this experience would ideally be managing construction projects for the owner / developer, including management of design teams through production of working drawings, management of the general contractor through construction, delivery of the product to the customer, on-going management of warranty programs, and resolution of post-construction related issues.
University/college degree and/or training in construction management engineering, land planning, or related field. Core strengths in multi-family residential, condominiums, hotel, condominium hotels, commercial and/or retail development would be a strong asset. Specific experience in tropical climate construction and general technical understanding of climate impact on construction projects is beneficial.Classification:Direct HireCompensation:
