Construction Field Superintendent

Horizon, a development, design and construction firm is one of Wisconsin’s fastest growing companies. We have over twenty years experience with designing, building and managing senior housing. Over the past five years we have aggressively entered the hospitality market renovating hotels and adding major water resorts.
We're looking for several On-Site Field Superintendents that can assist us with the hotel renovation aspects of our water resort projects. Our Field Superintendents are responsible for all phases of construction project field supervision, including coordination and management of subcontract trades, labor and material requirements, skilled trade awareness, quality control, interpretation and implementation of blueprints/contract documents; scheduling and milestone monitoring, safety awareness and performance, cost/change order awareness, punch list management and project close-out.Please apply by clicking here. REQUIREMENTS
Skill in construction trades is a requirement for this position.Minimum of five years experience in construction, including experience as a supervisor and large-scale hotel renovation, is required for this position.Familiarity with all facets of construction, including earthwork, drainage, framing, finishes and all mechanicals is a must.A high degree of construction field expertise will be required.Must possess the ability to supervise, teach and motivate staff; willingness to perform any task that is required and possess good safety habits.The person in this position must be able to communicate clearly and effectively, verbally and in writing, with other members of the construction department and with third-party contractors and tradesman, as well as with company owners and managers, and all other office team members.Strong organization skills, and the ability to handle multiple projects and meet critical time deadlines are crucial to this position.Must possess the ability to problem solve.
Other qualifications:Certification(s) or equivalent as remodeler or construction superintendent would be helpful.
Familiarization with all aspects of the company’s operations is desired.
