Construction Field Superintedent

Oversees the daily construction activities at work site, including scheduling workers, delivery of equipment and materials, and the progress of the project. Works with contractors to complete project within the given budget and timeframe. Resolves contract disputes and arranges any necessary order changes. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. May lead and direct the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
REQUIREMENTS
Requires at least 5 years of field experience in multifamily mid-rise or high rise construction or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
Must be able to:
-assist workers engaged in construction projects
-direct constr. projects
-esure compliance to industry standards
-estimate costs
-locate, measure, or mark structure and equipment locations
-monitor or maintain inventory
-recommend and enforce safety procedures
-assign and prepare work schedules, duties, tasks, or responsibilities
-determine material and labor requirements
-follow interpret, or read blueprints or schematics
-inspect construction site
-interview, recruit, hire, or discharge personnel
-negotiate or approve contracts
-observe or evaluate personnel
- prepare budgets
-recommend measures to improve efficiency
-purchase, order or requisition materials, supplies or equipment
-record data
-resolve customer inquiries or complaints
-normal class d drivers license
-at least 5 years experience with word, excel, graphics software, powerpoint.
