Construction Estimator/Project Manager

Purpose: Oregon's largest suppliers of Aggregates, Asphaltic Concrete, and Ready Mix Concrete.

Position: Construction Estimator/Project Manager

Location: Metro Hwy Paving ? Sherwood OR

Hours: Usually 7:00 am ? 5:00 pm
will vary depending on seasonal work load
must be able to work overtime to include evenings

Wage: Salary to commensurate with skill and experience

Duties: Prepare construction cost estimates to meet varying customer needs. Inspect potential project sites to determine material, equipment, and labor needs to aid in bid preparation. Determine haul routes to projects for trucking cost estimates. Examine bid documents and construction specifications. Read plans and blueprints for material quantity takeoffs. Work closely with superintendents and foremen in preparation and planning stages of projects. Responsible for completion of a wide range of documents and forms. Responsible for the billing of projects and follow-up customer contact to assure satisfaction. Assist superintendent with job monitoring during busy season. Other miscellaneous duties as directed by supervisor.

Skills: Prefer college degree in related field or equivalent education and work experience that demonstrates the skills required to perform the job. Good communication skills, both verbal and written. Must have good math skills and the ability to organize and prioritize work. Basic survey skills, the ability to read blueprints, and basic computer skills required, experience with HCSS Heavy Bid / Heavy Job, Paydirt, and Excel preferred. Need a good driving record. The ability to work well with others as a team. Must have a strong commitment to quality, customer satisfaction, and safety.Classification:Full-TimeCompensation:
