Construction Engineer Mgr. 2- Baton Rouge/NO, LA

Position Summary: This Construction Engineering Manager position requires the ability to perform primarily 3D CAD work which includes but is not limited to the following:
1. Create construction grading and layout plans and cross sections based on design drawings and criteria.
2. Create and maintain project CAD models using a consistent layer and data management system.
3. Using survey point files, create drawings accurately depicting existing and as-built surfaces and site features.
4. Using surfaces within project models generate quantities as requested.
5. Working closely with and support construction surveyors, field engineers, site managers, and superintendents by providing CAD related work products (e.g., profiles, cross section, details, etc.) as requested.
6. Support project staff as requested and continue professional development.
Requirements: Candidates must be accomplished AutoCAD Land Desktop operators having at least 5 years experience and familiar with maintaining project models and related data. Candidates must be capable of quickly grasping and using other earthwork related CAD software (e.g. SiteVision, Microstation, etc.) and have an understanding of surveying principles. Candidates must be proficient at producing work products such as those listed in the Position Summary and eager to support construction staff as requested on short notice. Overtime will often be required on short notice. A degree is not required, but a postsecondary degree or training certification relating to earthwork related 3D CAD, surveying, or mapping is highly desirable.Job Conditions/Environment: Overtime work will frequently and often on short notice.REF:CAAR148531
