Construction Engineer 2 (Civil) - Allen

Position Summary: Specific to the civil/structural discipline at the construction site, this position will fulfill the following duties: Monitor the Work for technical conformance to the applicable construction drawings and specifications and act to avoid/resolve nonconformances; monitor work progress for conformance to the schedule; maintain a daily log of construction activities by both direct hire and subcontracted forces; in conjunction with the Resident Engineer, resolve technical issues and document field changes through the Request For Information process; review technical data submitted by subcontractor(s); provide technical input to critical lift plans; maintain photographic records as required. Familiarity with all applicable construction procedures, project specifications and requirements of the Construction Quality Program Manual is required.
Requirements: Civil engineering/construction technology certificate as a minimum. Proficiency in personal computer operation (common software applications) is required. A minimum of five years of construction engineering experience in a like or related environment is required. Some heavy industrial civil design experience would be an asset.
