Construction Eng Manager II

Construction Eng Managers will be responsible for the project construction engineering and may serve as the resident engineering manager on the job. This position will report to New Orleans Site Manager III for the project he/she is assigned to. The Construction Eng Manager oversees the construction engineering pieces of the project as it relates to the execution plan, the scope, and the company policies and procedures for safety and quality. This individual will be responsible for oversight of the engineered portions/controls as applicable to the construction work on the assigned project. This position will supervise all Construction Eng Manager I positions.Must possess extensive engineering experience in various forms of heavy civil and levee construction-built levees and flood control structures (heavy concrete work) for USACE. Must have experience executing the technical aspects of the projects including quality, change orders, submittals, as builts, field engineering, constructability, temporary facilities design, engineering during construction, management of the engineering process and management and coordination of the design engineers. PE and successful track record preferred. Requires the ability to design and execute the work according to the execution plan and project scope. Must have experience in managing people and engineering functions on projects. Must understand execution of scope and necessary reporting for success. Must understand scope definability. Must have good client skills and knowledge of all construction project activity. Effective communication is a must. Field experience is a must. Degreed individual in an area specific to levee construction work-(civil engineering).Employee will spend their time on the project site or in the New Orleans office-which ever the job dictates. Construction Eng Manager II in New Orleans area will report to the Site Manager III position for their assigned project. Individual must be physically able to perform the requirements of this job. Position may require OT during intense work periods.
