500 companies worldwideInterest Category: Business DevelopmentJob Description: The Construction Division Manager Position is contingent upon award of a contract located at Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas, expected to start in the October, 2007 time frame. Position may require employment during the proposal phase in 2006.Responsibilities:
Manages, oversees and coordinates all facets of construction: Plans, organizes, directs and reports project management activities including updates and progress.
Responsible for the design, construction and post-construction phase activities.
Manages and coordinates project team, staff and contractor to ensure that the project scope is built according to plans, specifications, schedules, and cost limits.
Manages both the project budget and schedule while ensuring the the project meets all qualitative standards.
Performs day to day contract administration including assisting senior management in bid analysis, pre construction meetings and other related award coordinating activities.
Review contractor's initial construction schedule; schedule of values, submittals, and generally respond to contractor's inquiries regarding the different aspects of contract administration.
Supervise, coordinate and direct the CM staff.
Perform other management functions as assigned.
Candidate will manage educational facility projects ranging in construction value from $2M to $60M.xurs09x

REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Requirements: Minimum 10 years experience in project/construction management of commercial and/or public facilities.BS or BA in architecture, engineering, urban planning, construction management or closely related field. Hands-on experience in the construction arena may offset a degree requirement.Certified Construction Manager (CCM), Professional Engineer (PE) or Architect license/certification required.Must have successfully completed the required OSHA Occupational Safety and Health Training Course in Construction Safety & Health or must complete within 30 days of hire date.
