Construction Assistant—Immediate Opening

Habitat for Humanity of Greater Memphis, a non-profit housing provider, is seeking a temporary construction assistant during the months of September and October.

Principal Responsibilities
-Weekly materials procurement, inventory and organization for build site.
-Daily site set-up and clean-up.
-Assist senior construction staff and volunteer coordinator with management of subcontractors, onsite deliveries and meeting with inspectors.
-Various construction-related activities as assigned.

Qualifications/Work Experience
-Must be available to work Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 9am to 3pm and Thursdays and Saturdays from 6:30am-5:30pm. Beginning immediately through October 28.
-Must pass drug screening, criminal background check and have a good driving record
-Must be willing to obtain F endorsement drivers license
-Some construction experience preferable
-Ability to work well with and communicate with a large, diverse group of volunteers

Salary $10/hour
