Concrete Mixer Truck Driver CDL A or B

Must be a Qualified CDL (Commercial Driver’s License, A or B) Driver with Large Truck Driving Experience and comply with all applicable DOT regulations and be knowledgeable in all phases of Truck Operations. We will train you to include checking the slump of concrete to insure loads meet or exceed all state standards. Drivers with experience in the logging industry, Military Large truck driving, or those who have carried liquid loads usually perform very well in this job. On site Concrete training is available and drivers are paid during training. This function requires that all drivers be physically fit and able to climb the rear truck ladder, bend over and view the concrete in the Mixer Drum to confirm the “Slump” and be able to perform routine maintenance and safety checks on the mixer truck. Must live or be willing to move within the area covered by SCM which ranges all around and in the Charlotte Area. Drivers will work as part of a unique team of highly experienced Mixer Truck Operators responsible for the delivery of ready mixed concrete. This includes being able to follow instructions given by dispatchers and/ or other supervisors and managers and properly fill out and return all required paperwork.
Must have an excellent driving record and no history of DWI, Reckless Driving, or Criminal activity involving drugs or alcohol.
Must be able to meet the strenuous requirements of a concrete mixer driver inside cab and OUTDOORS which include climbing in and out of the relatively high cab over 50 times a day. Weather conditions are often nasty with high or low temperatures,and with rain.
Veterans are extremely welcome. Most drivers will earn between $33,000 to $45,000 per year. No overnight runs and drivers must home base near one of our 8 Charlotte Area Plants. The company has a group medical and dental plan, a 401K retirement plan, and two yearly bonuses for a good safety record and overall production. Plants are located in and around Charlotte- North, South, East and Center. Also in Concord, Salisbury, Lake Norman and Sherrills Ford
