Composite Fabricator

COMPOSITE FABRICATOR
This is a senior workshop position and candidates will be required to have:
Several years experience in manufacturing composite components within an aerospace or automotive environment and be able to work to tight deadlines with minimum supervision.
A recognized technical training such as a trade apprenticeship or equivalent experience is required. A fabrication, machining or pattern-making background would be desirable.
A good knowledge of and experience of tooling methods and materials as well as experience of all aspects of composite manufacture, prepreg laminating, vacuum bagging techniques, autoclave and bonding procedures. An ability to work from engineering drawings and to high levels of accuracy with good trimming, fitting and assembly skills. Some supervisory and inspection experience would be an advantage.
REQUIREMENTS
Non Degree-BS Degree 5-20 years of composite fabrication experience in using Vacuum Infusion, RTM, autoclave, prepregging, lamination, cutting and slitting equipment, and the lead fabricator should be a good mentor. Any kind of composite training, or Certified Composite Technician is a huge plus.
