Contract Position: 1 year +
Position Location: Falls Church, VA
Schedule: 1st Shift
Security Level: Must be able to obtain a DHS Secret Clearance. Cleared Candidates Preferred.
Education Requirement/ Years Experience: B.S.E.E. and 7 yrs. exp in Comms Theory desirable
Job Description:
Responsible for Assisting the Development of Concept of Operations, Requirements, Architecture, Design, Deployment, Installation, Test and Acceptance of Communications Subsystems.
• Develop Communications Architecture (knowledge of DoDAF) for Subsystem
• Establish Communications Subsystems Requirements (Functional/Performance Specs) for Subsystem
• Ensure Architecture/ Design Meets Requirements
• Ensure that subsystem designs and specifications can be used for procurement of equipment and software from vendors.
Qualifications:
7+ years of in-depth telecom experience including design, development, installation, operation and maintenance of wireless and wireline systems. Wireline experience should include TCP/IP based switched networks design, implementation and operations. Must understand how circuits are designed, ordered and implemented. Wireless (RF) system experience may include one or more of the following: 3G/CDMA/Cellular (1xRTT, EV-DO, EV-DV), WiFi, WiMAX, Satcom (L and Ku band), Microwave, HF/VHF systems. Should have an understanding of network security and management/control of communications.
