Commercial High Rise NC Level III Certified Plans Examiners

We need NC Certified Building Level III Plans Examimers, NC Certified Mechanical/Plumbing Plans Examiners & NC Certified Electrical Plans Examiners WITH HIGH RISE Experience.
1)Examines plans and specifications for compliance with North Carolina state building codes.
2) Makes decisions or judgments on the interpretation of state building codes, approves or disapproves construction documents (plans, specifications, calculations) and communicates results to design professionals orally or in writing.
3) Provides field inspections as necessary, participates in submissions of code to both state and model code organizations as needed, and organizes and attends project pre-reviews with designers.
4) Works in a team environment without direct supervision, keeps management informed of unusual problem situations during the plan review process from plan submittal through final project approval.
REQUIREMENTS


MINIMUM QUALIFICATONS:
1) Bachelor's degree in engineering and five years of experience in the design/construction of commercial buildings or five years experience as a level III code official or equivalent combination of education and experience in design or construction.

2) Supervisory experience as a construction project manager or design office manager or licensed P.E. or Architect is a plus.

3) Must obtain Level III inspector certification through the North Carolina code official’s qualification board within one year of hire. Multiple trade certifications a plus.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Positions available in the following trades: Building, Electrical, Mechanical & Plumbing*
* Each position requires a Level III certification through the State of NC in the specified trade within one year of date of hire. Requires a valid Driver's License.
