Claim Specialist- Auto Physical Damage- Commercial and Property

The Ohio Casualty Insurance Company is hiring for a Claim Specialist to provide claim service to include investigating, evaluating, and settling non-complex claims. Secure required supporting documentation and provide required reports. Assist as required in all claim processing functions.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Evaluates claims as to coverage, liability, and damage.

Investigates claims including obtaining statements, police reports, medical documentation, scene investigation, and cause of loss.

Negotiates claim settlements, and issues claim payments within authority.

Identifies fraudulent claims and refers to SIU for further investigation.

Assists with claim processing activities as needed.

Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent business experience

Background in Auto Physical damage experience is beneficial

Excellent customer service skills

Math skills

PC/CRT experience with keyboard skills

Demonstrated verbal, written, interpersonal, and telephone communication skills

Demonstrated organization and time management skills

Ability to complete assigned education courses

Must have a NC Adjuster License
