Civil Utilities Engineer
The Civil Engineer coordinates, supervises, and
participates in the conduct of engineering projects,
including research, drafting and design, survey, and
review of a variety of public works. Monitor
compliance of projects with city ordinances, state and
federal laws. Directs the operations and maintenance
requirements of the water/wastewater plants and
related facilities. Plans, directs and coordinates the
work of professional and technical staff. This position
requires a bachelor’s degree in Civil or Mechanical
Engineering. Emphasis in environment a plus.
Possession of or capability of acquiring certified
Professional Engineering designation from the state
of South Dakota within (6) months of employment. A
minimum of (4) years progressive work experience in
a related field with supervisory experience. Must
have a valid driver’s license.
