Civil Engineer (Valencia area)

Purpose: There are multiple openings for civil engineers.

Job duties include: Conducting site planning and plan evaluation for unimproved land development, including hydrology calculations and design of drainage systems using modeling software and AutoCAD with Land Desktop Design; plan and design leveling and grading of commercial and residential sites; evaluate erosion concerns and design and plan placement of detention/retention ponds; calculate storm drain and sewer system capacity and placement; design and calculate earthwork and retaining walls; design street and parking area layouts; incorporate federal, state and local code and local zoning requirements into site design and utility layouts; research, collect data, and interact with public and utility agencies for utility analysis and layout; evaluate boundary surveys, topography maps of sites; understand and use bids, budgets, and schedules to interact with surveyors, agencies, sub-consultants, inspectors, contractors, architects and developers.

Job Requirements:
Bachelors degree in civil engineering or foreign equivalent plus 3 years experience to include unimproved land development for developers and owners; leveling, grading, hydrology analysis, and drainage systems evaluation; and using modeling software and AutoCAD with Land Desktop Design.
