Civil Engineer / Environmental Engineer
SCS Engineers, a national leader in environmental consulting and an employee-owned company, is seeking a Project Engineer for its San Diego office.
The position offers the opportunity to work on a wide variety of topics including:
Environmental site assessments,
Soil and groundwater remediation (design, permitting, installation, operations)
Response planning,
Environmental compliance,
Brownfields redevelopment,
and Corrective action.
The work will include field work, engineering analysis, feasibility studies, designs, preparation of plans and specifications, environmental permit applications, report writing, and construction oversight.
REQUIREMENTS
Project engineer requires a minimum of 6 years experience, a BS or MS degree in civil engineering and strong verbal and written communication, and project management skills. California registration (PE) required.
Ideal candidate will be highly motivated with extensive experience in soil and groundwater investigations and design, installation and operation of remediation systems, strong problem solving skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
Southern California and landfill experience a plus! Position requires some travel, field and office work, the ability to communicate with clients, contractors and agencies, and current 40-hour Hazwoper training.
