Civil Engineer -- Design Engineer

The Civil Design Engineer will possess some experience in land development design including the areas of grading, drainage, streets, sewers, storm drain and utilities.

Transforms initial rough product designs into working documents using AutoCAD. Proficient in using AutoCAD software to establish horizontal and vertical alignments, profiles, cross sections and perform earthwork calculations. Utilize AutoCAD and LDD in the preparation of plans for drainage, grading, water, sewer, storm drain, street improvements and site planning for land development projects. Prepare engineering drawing maps to specified standards. Design basic construction documents and prepares special exhibits and constraint maps using field data and engineering research. Interface with engineers and project manager.
REQUIREMENTS
B.S. in Civil Engineering. E.I.T. certification preferred. Internships with Civil Engineering firms a plus. Proficiency in computer design software programs, mainly AutoCAD 2002 or 2006 and Land Development Desktop 3 or 2006. Experience with residential, commercial, or public works projects. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
