Civil Engineer - Aviation & Facilities

Burns & McDonnell has exciting opportunities for experienced Civil Engineers in our Aviation & Facilities team at our world headquarters in Kansas City, Missouri.

This position is responsible for performing design on various projects and preparing estimates proposals. Progressive design and project management responsibilities. Provide leadership, guidance and instruction to less experienced staff members. Meet and interact with client. Some marketing responsibilities. Other responsibilities include knowledge of pavement, storm water, sanitary, and water. Ability to function as the lead engineer on a multi-discipline project team, and to utilize and assign tasks to staff civil engineers to help complete projects. Experience with military and commercial fueling projects as well as site development and infrastructure for commercial and military facilities and airfield infrastructure. The incumbent will perform general civil engineering tasks such as developing site layout plans, grading plans, and utility plans, preparing specifications, and preparing reports.
REQUIREMENTS
This position requires a Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from accredited program plus 5+ years related experience (completion of master's degree in related field may be substituted for one year of experience). Excellent written & verbal communication skills. Strong analytical and problem solving skills. PE. Consulting experience preferred.
