TranSystems Oakland is looking for a Staff Engineer (EC1). This entry level position consists of Civil Engineering design, CAD work and plan preparation for a variety of projects, including rail, road, coastal development, site development, storm water management and utilities design projects. Day to day assignments and technical guidance will be provided by current staff Project Managers. The preferred candidate will have a civil engineering drawing background, knowledge of Microstation and AutoCAD, and some experience with putting together sets of civil engineering design drawings. Ideally such a person will also know InRoads and Land Desktop. Some experience directing other junior engineers or junior production staff is a plus. This position does not require PE registration, but TranSystems will encourage the motivated individual to become licensed at the earliest opportunity. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced setting.
