Civil Construction Supervisor - BPS

GSS Group is a leader in Consulting Services for the Power Generation and Oil & Gas industry. We have an immediate need for a Strong Civil Supervisor for an existing Fortune 500 Company.

The Civil Construction Supervisor will be responsible for the construction, installation, modification, and repairs to old and new electrical substations. The candidate will be overseeing craft laborers and contractors on site for the construction. They will be overseeing and must have experience with the erection and the installation of high voltage equipment. These facilities are utility substations and energized facilities. The candidate must be well versed on the safety procedures and codes associated in working in such environments. Must be familiar with the layout and design of these facilities.
REQUIREMENTS
Candidates with a BS or higher in Civil Engineering are preferred. High Voltage installation experience is necessary. Candidates must also have prior experience with the above mentioned responsibilities. Utility substation construction experience is required.

The candidate must be able to work independently with regards to running projects and ensuring work orders are completed in a timely and cost effective manner. The candidate will be available for weekly reporting and meeting updates.

This person must be willing and able to travel to various sites across northern New Jersey.
