Position: Chief Estimator – General Commercial

This is a rapidly growing company with very strong market connections. They build projects all over the eastern US. These projects are based project types including Commercial Office, Corporate Office, Hospitals, Healthcare, Retail Shopping, Big Box, Warehouse, Distribution, Churches, Government, Military, Hotel, Hospitality, Apartments, Assisted Living, Student Housing, Shopping Centers, Light Manufacturing, and Parking Structures.

Project mix includes both hard bid and negotiated project types. Great opportunity. Project sizes run as high as $25MM.

Position Profile:
This individual will be expected to provide estimates from the conceptual stage to final cost adjustments for a project. This position will require heavy interface with the purchasing and scheduling groups with in the company. This company moves fast and is not for the slow deliberate estimator. This company wants a successful gunslinger that doesn’t miss.

Experience Expected:
Qualified candidates will have the following qualifications:
- Background as an senior estimator for a general contractor
- at least 25% of experience must be in design/build or negotiated project bidding
- 8+ years construction experience in General Commercial Estimating
- 2+ years in position as a chief estimator
- ability to develop estimating standards for company
- BS Degree in Construction Sciences or Engineering
- stable employment background
- Experience in quantity take offs and estimating major CSI Divisions (1-16)
- must be willing to relocate to Georgia
- experience with estimating software like MC2 or Timberline
- Willingness to work in team environment and be mentored

Compensation Expectations: Base salary, bonus plan, company benefits, reasonable relocation expenses.
