Capital Construction Manager

Division: Lemont RefiningDepartment: Lemont Tech Services & EngineeringOrganization: Lemont Project EngineeringJob Description: Develops, directs, manages and coordinates construction activities for Routine Projects Group Coordinates construction activities with Maintenance resources and management Monitor and audit safety programs to assure safe construction of projects Assure that safety standards and regulations are implemented on construction projects Establish goals, budgets, and provide input into construction budgets and forecasts. Provide written and oral communications to interact with respect to construction execution with Maintenance, Operations and Engineering personnel Participates in determining contracting plans, constructability reviews, required resources, contractor selection, and safety evauation Plan, coordinate and execute multiple projects at same time, including capital and expense projects involving Routine Projects personnel Ensure adherence to policies, procedures, plans and specifications for projects
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or other related Engineering Degree.Education, training and/or experience related to construction activities and managementKnowledge and capabilities in project schedule management and schedule toolsKnowledge and capabilities in cost estimating methodologies and toolsPlanning, Organization and Control skillsTeamwork and communication skillsSelf motivated individualComputer skills related to Microsoft Office, E-mail and SAP10+ years related construction management experienceCoordinating and quality oversight of construction contractors and capital projectsRefining industry experience preferredConstruction and procurement coordination experience preferred
