Civil Engineer, Senior LevelThis position is for a management-level civil engineer to head our engineering division. The successful applicant will provide peer review and oversight for staff level engineers, manage engineering projects, coordinate project scheduling and budgets, monitor project efficiency, provide limited marketing, and seek to expand and build the engineering division. The successful applicant will have a broad knowledge of civil design practices with an emphasis on public infrastructure. Experience in water-system design, especially municipal well systems, including storage, treatment, and distribution is preferred.Typical work will consist of client interaction, preparing proposals, coordinating work load, reviewing drawings, calculations, specifications, and design reports, tracking budgets and work load, and performing senior-level civil engineering.
The successful applicant will have the minimum experience:B.S. Degree in Engineering
California PE
10 years of experience of which recent experience includes department level or better management experience.Civil Engineer, Staff LevelThis position is for a journeyman level civil engineer, who with limited supervision can independently complete design assignments. Work will include civil design related to public infrastructure and industrial applications. Emphasis will be placed on water related applications such as flood modeling and small water and wastewater system design. The successful applicant will be given projects to complete independently with senior review and technical support, as needed. He or she will be responsible for assistance in preparing proposals, client contact, and direction of technical staff on a project by project basis.Typical projects include participating in preparing conceptual designs and calculations (including grading plans, civil design, and limited mechanical design), participating in California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) documentation and public review, preparing Reports of Waste Discharge for submittal to the Regional Water Quality Control Board, performing permitting coordination, completing final design, bidding, and providing construction oversight. The work includes coordination with subcontracted surveying, electrical/mechanical, architectural, and structural engineers.The successful applicant will have the following experience:B.S. in Engineering
Licensed PE in California
Four years or more experience in civil engineering
