CHEMICAL PROJECT ENGINEER

CHEMICAL, PETROCHEMICAL, REFINERY & PHARMACEUTICAL RECRUITERS

The candidate will be responsible for design development and execution of projects for new and replacement equipment. Will develop project scope and economic justification per company procedures and prepare capital authorization requests as needed. Needs to understand different types of estimates, be proficient in equipment sizing (pumps, heat exchangers, vessels), line sizing, specify instrumentation (flow meters and control valves), mark up engineering flow diagrams per ISA standards, equipment selection by evaluating vendor quotes. Will need to understand and carry out principles of project management. These activities include cost tracking, scheduling, working with procurement to purchase equipment, assemble bid packages for contractor selection, evaluating and selecting vendors and contractors. Will participate and lead Six Sigma, Process Safety Management (PSM), and Mechanical Integrity (MI) programs as required.
REQUIREMENTS
Need a Professional and an Engineer with 3+ years project experience in the specialty chemical and/or petrochemical industry and ability to lead by example. Will strongly consider a solid Process Engineer with desire to run projects; try it on for size.
