QMA Architects & Planners has an immediate opening for a full time permanent Architect or Project Manager with a minimum of 7 years experience in the preparation of Construction Documents for custom high end residences and light commercial projects. Our ideal candidate is a proactive self starting individual capable of multi-tasking on several of projects in various phases of development.

This position involves working directly with the client and engineering consultants as well as our in house construction managers in the preparation of detailed construction documents and the implementation of those concepts in the field.

REQUIREMENTS
1. 7-10 years of progressive experience and responsibility in residential architecture.
2. Understanding of all architectural aspects of residential construction including
a. Structural engineering of simply wood frame structures
b. IRC and IBC building codes
c. Ability to understand and interpret zoning ordinances
d. Ability to create detailed construction documents
e. Familiarity with environmental regulations such as DEP, CAFRA and Pinelands regulations
3. Ability to work independently and efficiently in the preparation of highly accurate architectural documents.
4. Ability to work in a team environment, consisting of our staff, clients, consulting engineers, construction managers, material suppliers and subcontractors.
5. A thorough understanding of CAD systems and the ability to create construction documents in AutoCAD.
6. The knowledge of, or the willingness to lean to use ArchiCAD, the industries leading provider of Object Oriented 3-D modeling software.
7. The desire and ability to provide the highest quality work and exemplary customer service to everyone you come into contact with in the performance of your responsibilities.
