ASST. CONSTRUCTION MANAGER

CONSTRUCTION MANAGER to join our WASHINGTON, DC team on exciting and challenging design and construction-management projects.Responsible for day-to-day management of project site and construction contractor personnel. Provides professional advice to Geographic and Functional Team Leaders of the Pentagon Renovation Program.Duties and Responsibilities:1.Monitors day-to-day construction and construction-related activities for all on-site project personnel in coordination with the Construction Manager.2.Monitors the construction contractor's performance relative to:
oSafety
oQuality
oSchedule
oContract Compliance3.Reviews all change order modification requests for entitlements.4.Reviews all approved change modification requests prior to negotiation and provides technical support to the change team.5.Coordinates performance of the commissioning plan among the contractors, building owner and commissioning specialist.6.Communicates and coordinates with construction managers for other Pentagon Renovation projects.7.Attends PenRen Operations Manager's regularly scheduled construction managers' meetings and presents project status reports.8.Coordinates with Pentagon Building Maintenance Office to schedule utility outages as required.9.Monitors construction schedule with project and contractor schedulers to keep on track and to address problems that may cause delays.10.Provides quarterly evaluations of contractors' performance for award fee determinations.11.Participates in meetings with staff, clients, and management, as directed.Qualifications:Experience/Training/Education:1.College Degree in engineering, construction management, or architecture or
minimum of 5-years experience in construction management/project management2.Minimum of 3-years field supervisory experience on a large construction project
