DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

*Comprehend basic to complex business issues, contribute to IT business projects or IT sponsored technology projects, by translating business needs into understandable requirements.

*Business Analysis staff participates in the development and management of project plans related to the application development initiatives, from project planning and design through testing, implementation and maintenance.

*Candidates in this job family have a considerable understanding of current and emerging IT products, services, processes, and methodologies, along with a continuing understanding of the business function and process.

*Candidates for this role are able to understand business requirements, goals, and risks in order to formulate and define the technical scope and objectives of projects.

*Candidates for this role need to have solid business and organizational skills, participate in both business and IT strategic planning and demonstrate leadership in the use of business analysis tools and methodologies.

*Candidates for this role are also responsible for educating project team members and the business community on the impact of the technology proposed (e.g., infrastructure) and for articulating strategy and developing contingency plans. Business Analysis staff also provide client support and consultation for IT issues as well as advice in their area of expertise.

*In addition, candidates for this role need to have a team orientation and are focused, at all times, on improving business operations.
