An Account BDE will either tend to be dedicated to a specific industry group
within a defined geography or be designated as for all industries based on
specific market needs. The Account BDE will be assigned by the Business
Development Leader (BDL) in their assigned market. The targets assigned will be
reviewed in a collaborative manner with the BDL and local partners as
appropriate to ensure market focus and consistency. Based on market needs, the
Account BDE will typically be assigned an average of 6 - 8 targets, which are
either Channel 2 clients of the firm or are targets where the industry team
believes that there is significant opportunity, which has not been pursued,
generally these accounts will be focused around the Firm’s Preferred Provider
Program and other priority Channel 2 accounts.The primary focus of this position is to develop high-level relationships with
the corporate and divisional executives. This will include all economic buyers
such as CEO, MPO, CMO, COO, CIO, CTO,CFO, VP of Tax General Counsel, VP of
Human Resources, other corporate and division leaders and audit committee
members, as appropriate. Specifically we want account BDEs to:Identify client issues and priorities for which PwC solutions can be presented.
Present these opportunities to appropriate partners
Assemble a pursuit team consisting of the appropriate partners and subject
matter experts.
Assist in the development and execution of the sales process to help close the
business through the executive contacts with the target.
Maintain contact with the buyer to determine client satisfaction for the
engagement and to identify additional opportunities.
Working with the target, identify needs for which PwC does not have a solution
and communicate these needs to the Business Solutions leaders.
Collaborate with the Sales Strategy Group (SSG) to deliver quality proposals
and touchpoints to the clientThe ultimate goal is to develop targets into long-term revenue generating
clients through strong relationships in all LOS. As Account BDEs identify and
qualify opportunities within their targets, they will work in a collaborative
manner with PwC industry partners and product specialists. The Account BDE is
expected to become an accomplished generalist with knowledge of all the firm’s
XLOS service offerings. They will receive specific and primary direction from
the BDL to whom they report and receive additional focus and direction from the
local industry business development leader.
REQUIREMENTS
Education Requirement:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferredEssential Requirements:
Only candidates possessing a minimum of 10 years of professional services
selling will be considered
Candidates should be a team player, and possess both strong communication and
presentation skills to succeed in a matrix environment
Ideal candidate will thrive in a complex environment and is driven toward
achieving results, continuous learning and self-assessment
Candidates from a Big 4 or Fortune 500 environment is preferred. (No
