Description:

Manage and develop the product to be market competitive, meet the needs of our Partners and Members and also meets revenue objectives.
Manage new releases with no business impact.
Build a product roadmap that anticipates longer-term customer requirements.
Manage the relationship with our technology and service partners in order to build a positive Partnership.
P&L
Establish the P&L objectives and own the results or the product and services.
Model revenue and expense scenarios based on varying assumptions, including both internal and external costs.
Monitor and control departmental and other product-related expenses.
Meet department budget objectives.
Sourcing services
Auction thought leadership, chief auction strategist
Formalize the Sourcing service offering: service description, pricing, go to market strategy, delivery channel, and training content. Sourcing services are service related to the usage and adoption of the application. Examples: implementation services, sourcing event design, supplier management, templates, event administration and build pilot events. Expand over time revenues-of application services.
The e-Sourcing Service offering must be competitively differentiated and unique.
Ensure a high quality and professional delivery of signed services, building an services team and/or building relationships with other providers.
Support revenue growth
Proactively drive and support sales and marketing to acquire new customers.
Support sales by conducting pilots and close new contracts..
Drive customer adoption and usage in order to increase revenue from existing accounts.
Lead and own Sourcing user group Community events.
Major Deliverables
Improve Sourcing P&L
Manage a smooth transition of all customers to the new platform.
Build a clear service offering.
Structure the organization to deliver the services, ensuring high customer satisfaction, scalability, and optimizing costs.
Key Performance Indicators
eSourcing P&L: accuracy of actual versus agreed budget, meeting or exceeding profitability goals
Management of ERs: delivered agreed ER on agreed time
Amount of eSourcing services delivered
Customer satisfaction levels from product and application services usage
Department cost control
Recruitment and retention of high performing employees.


Requirements:

Knowledge of e-procurement and e-sourcing related software applications and technology
Familiarity with retail buying and procurement processes – This will be helpful to quickly build credibility with key decision-makers in the retail organizations that serves, and will provide a head-start in targeting services most likely to be attractive to retailers.
Ability to work effectively with a service provider in a long-term partnership, by negotiating and making trade-offs as appropriate to serve customers needs while maintaining the health of the partnership.
Ability to build and motivate a team, especially in a start-up situation where demand may be uneven and the team alternately stretched and not fully utilized (slack times).
Advanced leadership and analytical skills.
Advanced technical product management and projected management experience with in-depth understanding of software development life cycle.
BA/BS degree required, MBA strongly preferred
Minimum of 10 years applicable experience
