Vice President, Sales

Complete responsibility for sales function and sales results including:
•Dedication of at least 50% of capacity to personal sales pipeline development and management, with the remaining capacity dedicated to leading others.
•Defining the prospect qualification and sales management process.
•Refining sales messages and tactics and working with marketing to produce the appropriate content to support the required messaging.
•Partnering with marketing to create compelling lead generation activities including targeted email campaigns, advertising and referral programs.
•Building and leading a team of sales professionals that will effectively qualify leads and convert prospects into trial participants. The team will include a mix of outside and inside sales representatives.
•Partnering with services organization to ensure successful trials are converted into annual subscriptions.
•Renew and expand existing customer relationships.
•Achieve/exceed an annual sales quota•Strategize, negotiate & close business
REQUIREMENTS
Skill set should include solid sales prospecting and sales team management abilities and a track record of revenue achievement as both an individual contributor and leader. Beyond a passion for sales and 7+ years selling technology solutions to Enterprise markets, with at least 2 years in a leadership position, candidates should possess:
•Successful history of selling early adopters as part of a start-up organization.
•Ability to refine sales focus based on feedback and results from iterative process of experimentation with different messages aimed at different buyer types.
•Rigorous qualification skills and discipline to be able to focus on the right buyers
•Consultative selling style that will enable the prospect to connect their specific business needs to one of the key benefits of the solution
•Relentless motivation to succeed that manifests itself in a high velocity sales pipeline where the right prospects close quickly and the tire-kickers are pushed to the side.
•A strong personal network that will enable warm introductions into target accounts
•Understanding and experience in balancing enterprise selling with web-based selling that leverages electronic communications and self-service capabilities.
•Keen business acumen that enables relationship development with Senior Executives
