Teleflora, the world’s largest floral wire service has a challenging position for a dynamic and energetic Vice President of Internet Marketing in our West LA Corporate offices. Our recent growth has created a pivotal new opportunity for a business savvy E-Commerce professional to help support, build and guide strategic direction by proactively driving our online marketing initiative. This position reports directly to the EVP of Marketing.

The VP of Teleflora.com will have responsibility for managing the company’s online strategic and tactical marketing efforts. In this position, the VP will build and manage a highly-qualified marketing team. Responsibilities encompass all online marketing which includes marketing strategy to increase online sales and traffic, online advertising, merchandising, product marketing, marketing communications, market research, and sales collateral.

Responsibilities:
• Own and manage the P&L for Teleflora.com.
• Responsible for achieving sales growth targets.
• Oversee channel development strategies, architecture and infrastructure requirements to ultimately fulfill E-commerce business strategy.
• Initiate and direct the coordination of products throughout their lifecycle, from strategic definition to end-of-life planning.
• Develop the product strategy for online services.
• Translate customer / clients needs into new features and new services.
• Build and maintain relationships with online partners and resources such as Yahoo!, Google and Overture.
• Keep current with the latest e-commerce trends and technology to keep Teleflora’s sites competitive in the online arena.
• Drive consumer research and analysis to increase sales and improve customer’s experience.
• Collaborate on the integration of marketing and advertising between flower shops and online to develop multi channel strategies and increase brand awareness.
• Manage affiliate, email and search engine marketing programs and campaigns
REQUIREMENTS
Requirements:
• Marketing professional with 10 years of progressively responsible roles in marketing, requiring a minimum of 5 years of on-line marketing experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree is required, MBA preferred.
• Candidate should have successful and well-rounded experience with e-commerce and web production (as well traditional retail direct marketing experience).
• Candidate should be able to balance multiple competing priorities and maintain current profitability while establishing foundation for future growth.
• Candidate must possess strong strategic and tactical skills, as well as technical skills to understand the e-commerce market in order to create demand and generate revenues.
• Candidate must have conceptual selling and leadership skills to lead both internal and client teams to the leading edge of marketing.
• Candidate must have an intimate understanding of the creative process and have experience working with and evaluating creative products
• Candidate must have keen business acumen plus the ability to function as a senior strategist with key members of the executive management team.
• The ideal candidate is a strong self-starter with experience in managing marketing projects, direct marketing projects, technology-based solutions, and implementing global, e-commerce marketing strategies.
• Candidate must also have strong organizational skills, entrepreneurial attitude, proactive business style, excellent communication skills, and effective marketing-related writing skills.
• Candidate must have the ability to demonstrate strong customer focus and spearhead overall strategic positioning to follow industry trends and to keep a “finger on the pulse” of the customer base and competition.
• Candidate must have strong execution focus and enjoy working in a hard-charging, results-oriented environment.
• Candidate must have excellent communication and presentation skills and superior interpersonal skills.
