Sales Manager Specialty Food Ingredients Midwest and Southeast regions

We have several Specialty Ingredient Sales Manager openings with 3 different Ingredient/Flavor companies. (Visit WWW.FOODEMPLOYMENT.COM for more details) These positions require some prior experience selling specialty food ingredients to various food, nutritional and beverage companies. The product lines are extensive, but will focus on value added, technical food ingredients and flavors. These positions will be home based in the Midwest Region.

Summary: The management development and growth of Specialty Ingredients sales within a specified region (MIDWSET and SOUTHEAST). Positions will sell to selected accounts within the US and also identify new opportunities for profitable growth within the sector. These roles cover large functional ingredient portfolios and will focus on Nutritional Ingredients, Proteins, Specialty Dairy Ingredients, Specialty Bakery Ingredients or Citrus/Beverage Ingredients.

Responsibilities: Represent the company to current and prospective customers within the identified market. Identify opportunities with customers where Company can offer technology solutions that add real value. Work closely with cross-company technical, commercial and operational personnel to progress key identified opportunities. Develop a detailed knowledge of the products offered by Company to the sector. Develop a detailed understanding of competitors, their products and key market drivers. Provide detailed information on current and prospective customers, competitors and trends. Maintain strict confidentiality at all times. Overall commercial responsibility to deliver agreed commercial sales targets for the business.
REQUIREMENTS
•3+ years selling specialty ingredients
•BS Degree or equivalent in Science/Food business, Dairy Science or similar.
•Working knowledge of R&D and ingredient applications
•Solid understanding and contacts within food manufactures in your segment and region.
•Solid business acumen
•Strategic thinker to plan and identify future growth potential for the business.
•Innovative/creative to identify novel opportunities for proteins and other specialty products.
•Ability to interact at all levels such as sales, operations, R & D, quality, customer service with customers.
•Proven track record of growing and managing a business
•Above average presentation, verbal and written skills
