The Vice President of Business Development will be responsible for strengthening client relationships, supporting growth initiatives and entering new markets, communicating IEG’s products and services to client leads within WPP/Group M companies and placing IEG within the decision set of major sponsorship initiatives throughout North America.
Responsibilities:
In this role you will:•Develop meaningful business relationships with WPP/Group M Agencies and their clients
•Apply knowledge of the sponsorship industry and market trends to identify key prospects and obtain meetings with key decision makers•Generate new business through participation in new business pitches and targeted meetings with WPP/Group M Agency clients and others•Understand sponsorship issues within the context of the entire marketing mix and reasons for engaging IEG with each prospect
•Apply knowledge of IEG competitive differentiators in sales situations and be responsible for closing new business•Identify new and relevant product/service offerings and or marketing opportunities for the agencies and their clients
•Be responsible for keeping IEG top of mind at the agency level as the “go to” company for strategic counsel, competitive intelligence and analytics in the area of sponsorship and strategic alliances
•Write compelling, tailored proposals•Demonstrate superior presentation skills

REQUIREMENTS
Skills/Qualifications:•Minimum ten years' sales experience with several years successfully selling consulting services to senior-level executives
•Proven track record of developing and closing new account business and meeting sales objectives
•Sponsorship industry and subject-matter expertise
•Experience navigating the agency world•Strong time management and organizational skills
•Strong verbal and presentation skills
•Proficiency in MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint and Outlook
•Ability to work independently and deal effectively with others, both internally and externally
