POSITION SUMMARY
The Territory Manager in Training will learn all aspects of our business (Photography, Sales, Operations, & Management) with the intent of becoming a territory manager. They will work closely with the current assigned Territory Manager, Regional Sales Manager, and Training Department, and will be responsible for learning all phases of running a territory/sales office. The primary objective of this position is to develop and prepare an individual to effectively manage his/her own territory.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Follow guidelines outlined for the Territory Manager Development Program.
Develop, document, and adhere to their individual Training and Development Plan.
Learn the management and operations of the assigned territory as described in the Training and Development Plan, in the categories of: communication, finance, operations, performance management, photography, and sales.
Demonstrate proficiency in all areas outlined in the Training and Development Plan.
Develop and demonstrate leadership sills necessary within the assigned territory.
Be accountable for all assigned job responsibilities in the assigned territory, as directed by the territory manager and regional sales manager.
Demonstrate the ability to gain a thorough understanding and become responsible for the effective implementation in the territory of company sales, marketing, and profit improvement programs to increase market share in all product lines.
Participate in all company-sponsored sales and product seminars to achieve a thorough understanding of all LNSS product lines, services, support materials, sales and marketing concepts and strategies.
In addition to the on-the-job experience in the assigned territory, the TMIT should coordinate with the RSM and training manager to attend training sessions and cross-train in other territories, to accelerate the effectiveness of the development.
REQUIREMENTS
REQUIREMENTS
5-10 years related business experience, with proven experience and aptitude in each of the following areas:
Line management experience in hiring, staffing, performance management and leadership.
Financial experience in budgeting profit and loss, expense tracking, and ability to read and understand financial reports.
Sales management experience in developing sales plans, setting and meeting individual and team goals, training, coaching, and motivating sales people.
Operations experience in managing daily operations of a business or business segment including process, procedures and scheduling.
Motivated to manage a business proficiently and ability to take risks
Must be able to make a commitment to 12 - 18 month training program that may require up to 30% travel.
Willingness to relocate after training program.
