Territory Manager - Sales (Pacific NorthWest)

Business Unit: GE Industrial, SecurityFunction: SalesResponsibilities: **HOT JOB**Responsible for prospecting, proposing, and closing sales to new and existing customers in the geographic territory assigned (Oregon, Washington, Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming).Provide field-based support to National and Independent Distributors through regular on-site sales calls and telephone contact.Provide reports, sales projections, and other documentation as requested; communicate Distributor needs to appropriate departments within the company and actively participate in the resolution of any customer problemsMake effective sales calls to existing or prospective customers and grow territory sales volumes through wholesale distribution; maintain appropriate records documenting customer interactionCoordinate with Commercial & Residential Territory Managers to optimize the Dealers through Distribution opportunities; merchandise distributor locations; ensure appropriate stocking levels at local branch offices; evaluate existing and potential customers and concentrate major selling effort on those customers that represent the greatest opportunity for volume growthCreate quarterly and annual action plans based on opportunities identified; actively support sales and technical training needs of existing customers; investigate customer complaints and make recommendations to management for settlement.Interface with and utilize all levels of corporate personnel to promote sales and customer satisfaction; maintain proficiency on all sales and technical aspects of products; obtain current information from customers regarding pricing, products, promotions, etc.Convey significant developments to management; participate in industry association meetings and trade shows as appropriate; prepare annual sales forecasts; perform related duties as requested.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: Must have a bachelor's degree or high school diploma/GED with at least 6 years of direct, relevant security sales experienceMust have a successful history of managing and growing sales revenues.Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point.Must have a clean driving record.Must be able to travel up to 75% of the time.Must have at least 1 year experience selling to wholesale sales distributors, direct dealers, and/or builders programs.Must submit your application for employment through www.gecareers.com to be considered.Must be at least 18 years or older.Must be willing to take a drug test as part of the selection process.Must be willing to submit to a background investigation as part of the selection process.Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.Must be willing to accept an annual base salary that is not more than $80,000.Desired: Track Record of Excellence in Sales - selling to Distributors and B2B Sales.Must be able to operate remotely.Must have a demonstrated track record of working under minimal direct supervision.Strong business and technical aptitude.Must have excellent communication skills and ability to build and maintain relationships.Bachelor's degree strongly preferredGeneral: ABOUT GE SECURITY: GE Security spans the globe as a technology leader in the rapidly growing electronic security industry that helps protect families, property and communities.
