Territory Manager

Seeking a Territory Manager. Our client, a leading manufacturer of diagnostic products, vaccines, and pharmaceutical products, is seeking a Territory Manager to cover the New York City area. Selling pharmaceuticals, vaccines and diagnostics (including instruments), main responsibilities will include cold calls, distributing information, giving product demonstrations, territory analysis and forecasting, assessing and qualifying clinic needs, closing sales, working with distribution partners, and demonstrating excellent customer service.
REQUIREMENTS
Required Qualifications:
-Bachelors degree in business administration, marketing, arts, science, or related fields, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
-Solutions-oriented team player that can effectively manage issues to a successful resolution with sales management and corporate members.
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
-Ability to track progress and communicate results on a weekly basis to regional manager.
-High initiative and drive
-Ability to work independently from home office
-Ability to travel within assigned region (ongoing) and to regional trade shows/ conventions (as needed).
-Territory analysis and forecasting ability
-Assessing and qualifying customer needs
-Customer service excellence focus-Preferred Qualifications
-2-8 years of experience directly selling products or services to companies; selling medical capital equipment a plus.
-Experience working on a base plus commission basis
-Experience working in a territory or fixed region
-Experience managing distributors
-Track record of success; proven experience in exceeding quotas
-Successful management of client expectations and follow through on client needsThis position requires up to 100% travel within the territory. Some overnight may be required.
