Technical Sales Representative - Southern Illinois
Nalco Company currently needs a Technical Sales Representative to sell and provide service to the Coal Mining industry located in the Southern Illinois/Evansville, IN area. This position will require the sale of new business opportunities and account management of chemical programs at existing customers. His/Her responsibility will be to work with facility engineers to improve the efficiency of the customer's plant operations. The service aspect of the position includes, among other things: demonstration of the benefits of the chemical programs, evaluation of plant operating equipment, data acquisition and monitoring, writing service reports and maintaining current operation manuals. The sales representative will pro-actively make recommendations as part of a program of continuous improvement. This position has a strong base salary, with a generous commission plan and a company vehicle.

The desired candidate will have the following:
A four year degree, preferably in either mining, chemical, or mechanical engineering
At least 5 years of coal prep experience preferred
Past sales experience is a big plus.
Excellent oral and written communications skills
An outgoing personality
A valid driver's license and good driving record are required.
