Tactical Systems Division, Tactical Internet Manager System (TIMS):

Deputy Program Manager for the ISYSCON V4 (TIMS) and Objective IC programs. Assist in all aspects of managing a project for an Army customer: Customer relations, pursuit of new business, ROM and ECP preparation, setting overall technical direction and scope, interfacing with other NGC programs and external programs, establishment and management of cost budgets and schedule, management of resources, and coordination of APMs and support staff. Responsibilities will include interacting directly with the customer, project manager, all APMs and project personnel in achieving project goals. Additional responsibilities include business development, providing technical and management information to the customer, and acting as liaison between the customer and the project. The Deputy PM will fill in as acting PM when the PM is unavailable.


REQUIREMENTS
Experience in the following areas is required:
Applicant must have a minimum of 15 years experience in software development projects with at least 8 of those years in a project management role; experience setting up and managing multiple spiral developments occurring concurrently; excellent people skills with experience in dealing directly with customers, project personnel, and other project personnel from interfacing NG projects; experience with scheduling and monitoring program progress. Applicant must be knowledgeable with the EVMS measurement system and be able to participate in cost and schedule reporting and variance analysis. Applicant must be able to help monitor six sigma projects within the program and have completed green belt training with involvement in at least one six sigma project;must be knowledgeable in monitoring CAR, DAR, and other CMMI based activities DOD SECRET or higher clearance is required.

Technically, applicant must have networking experience and a good understanding of the technical aspects of network management.

Applicant must have C/C++, LINUX, Oracle/DBMS experience and will be required to provide technical review and oversight of work performed by the technical team.

The applicant will be responsible for reporting technical as well as management status to the customer, for developing business opportunities and for generating proposals to acquire new work. Grade and salary commensurate with experience


Experience in the following areas is an asset:
PMP (Project Management Professional) certificate highly desirable.
