Division: Graco Job Description: BASIC PURPOSE: Sales Account Manager responsible for strategic planning, implementation, & resulting performance of all Graco Sales & Marketing initiatives within the Toys “R” US $30M Account. This position is also responsible for all internal & external cross-functional communication & coordination required to successfully drive the growth of this channel such as: forecasting, marketplace positioning, new product launch plans, promotional & advertising plans, line review preparation & coordination, etc. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Responsibilities for each assigned account/channel:
Day to day contact required to effectively managing on-going business
i.e. Problem resolution in forecasting, pricing, logistics, POS performance, etc.
Coordinate annual/semi-annual product line reviews. Drive to achieve definable goals and seek out incremental sales opportunities and execute the “complex’ sale.
1-3 yr. account operating plan strategies(competitive analysis, profitability, account corporate direction, etc.)
Identify product, promotion, and special event opportunities through infiltrating account-marketing programs (baby registries, catalogues, special events, public relations.)
Develop exit strategies for product transitions including new product opportunities, mark down analysis, etc.
New business development through identifying and quantifying new product opportunities and/or new account/channels of distribution.
Coordinate pricing activities to meet account profitability targets. Identify and communicate opportunities/shortfalls to plan.
Participate in inventory planning meetings by communicating account needs and assisting in clearing excess/obsolete.
Individual is proactive and is driven to achieve definable and measurable goals and objectives. Proactively seeks incremental sales opportunities and executes the Sale.
Has strong understanding of their Product Line as well as all competitive items in the Market. Individual clearly communicates Market and Retailer Trends both vertically and horizontally to all internal departments.
Cultivates strong relationships cross-functionally with Product, Brand, Finance and Product Supply Teams.
Be at or under on all assigned Budgets. (i.e. T&E, Samples, etc.)

Requirements:


Job RequirementsBachelors Degree Required 3-5 Years Sales Experience 1-2 Years Category Management 2-3 Years P&L Responsibility Juvenile industry experience preferred but not required Demonstrated effective verbal & written communication with customers and within their organization Experience developing a sales plan, organizing all resources and executing in a timely manner Understands “buying influences” and “buyer’s mindset” and has demonstrated experience in creating Win-Win Sales Strategies Demonstrated ability to interact with all levels of associates; ability to work in teams and individually Strong analytical skills Ability to communicate market and retailer trends vertically/horizontally to all internal departments
