Sponsorship Programs SpecialistWork Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:30pm or as job requiresSummary:
Assist the Director of Development with the implementation of the Organization’s annual fund and development plan. Responsible for creating an annual INHP sponsorship package, identifying potential sponsors, creating a strategy for securing these sponsors, engaging staff and board members in soliciting sponsorships, and making certain all sponsorship benefits are delivered as promised. It is anticipated that the Sponsorship Programs Specialist would make 12 personal solicitation visits per month with an average request amount of $5,000 per visit.Essential Responsibilities:
• Responsible for creating and preparing sponsorship packet materials and communications needed to support sponsorship fund raising efforts.
• Assist the Director of Funds development with overall coordination of the sponsorship aspects of the annual fund drive.
• Make 12 personal sponsorship solicitation visits per month with an average request amount of $5,000 per visit.
• Responsible for prospect research and identification of potential sponsorships in cooperation with the Director of Funds Development
• Develops strategy for securing sponsorships in keeping with Funds Development overall strategy.
• Monitors sponsorship benefits delivery and checks records with database manager.
• Assists Director of Funds Development with sponsorship stewardship and recognition.
REQUIREMENTS
Requirements
Education and Experience:Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; five years of successful fundraising experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Skills and Abilities:
• High degree of proficiency in use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Raiser’s Edge, Outlook• Ability to read, analyze and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures and government regulations.
• Team player with ability to work independently and cooperatively in assigned tasks.
• Ability to write and develop clear, concise sponsorship materials, reports, and business correspondence.
• Ability to multi-task effectively and meet deadlines appropriately in a fast-paced office.
• Capable of follow-through with cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of sponsorship donor prospects
• Provide a high level of support for the Funds Development department and INHP.
• Ability to express clear thoughts verbally and in writing to both internal and external clientele
