Small Business Relationship Manager, Huntington, Long Island

The Small Business Relationship Manager (SBRM) is responsible for the acquisition, retention and expansion of Small Business banking customers in their assigned branch(es). This is achieved by proactively serving as the customer's advisor and navigator throughout JPMC and by engaging the full resources of the company to uncover and deliver solutions to meet the key objectives of all Small Business customers. The SBRM will seek to source new Small Business customers through referrals from existing customers and "centers of influence" (CPA/Attorney/Membership Organizations). The SBRM is responsible for driving the Small Business results in their branches for both portfolio and non-portfolio customers. This is accomplished by acting as the "subject matter expert" within the branch(es) they are assigned and by providing ongoing coaching to branch team members regarding Small Business products and services.

- Gains complete knowledge of business and personal financial needs of 100% of assigned customers.
Conducts 10-15 customer/prospect "outside" visits per week.
Builds knowledge of all customers by completing in-depth profiling of the Small Business owner(s).
Understands the needs of their customers, recommends the appropriate product/services/advice solutions, resulting in a trusted advisor status.
Responsible for strengthening the customer's relationship with the Small Business Team through appropriate introductions to product/solution partners.
Ensures service needs of the customers are met by handling requests directly and/or referring to appropriate service channels.
Proactively solicits new Small Business clients through cultivation of key referral sources.
Manages and utilizes relationship tools including Contact Manager, Sales Express, Decision Engine, and others as identified.
Must meet or exceed Key Performance Indicators, as established by Small Business Banking, including but not limited to acquisition, retention, and customer expansion.
REQUIREMENTS
General knowledge of retail banking and working knowledge of commercial/small businesses. Basic knowledge of business economics preferred. Relationship Management - influencing, advisory and acquisition skills. Problem Solving - superior problem solving skills. Communication - superior verbal and written communication skills. Initiative/Sound decision making/managing the customer experience with bank regulations and procedures. Manage risk/achieve bottom line results. 2-4 years business related sales experience required, financial services knowledge required or completion of a Management Training Program in a financial services firm. Bachelor's Degree in a field related to financial services preferred.
