We manufacture, import and imprint 16 product lines with over 4,500 innovative promotional products. We reward excellence, promote development, expect high ethical standards and support work/life balance.As we continue to expand our customer driven initiatives, we now seek a highly experienced Senior Vice President of Marketing who will define and drive marketing excellence for the organization, and will lead the Marketing Department to develop and execute winning brand and category strategies. Responsibilities will include accountability for marketing, creative and communication strategies and plans. The position must successfully lead and partner with all levels and departments within Norwood including the senior level and board.The successful Norwood Senior Vice President of Marketing should possess the following behavioral traits:He/she should be a professional that is accountable, responsible, coachable, honest, conscientious and ethical. He/she should act at all times in an organized manner with a sense of urgency and positive attitude. Our Senior Vice President of Marketing should possess the values of team orientation, flexibility, adaptability and a strong work ethic.
He/she possesses strong leadership ability, and is capable of influencing and persuading at all levels of the organization. He/she displays high energy and is creatively motivated while possessing high intelligence and strong tactical, problem solving skills.Our Senior Vice President of Marketing should also have the following technical skills:First and foremost she/he must possess strong merchandising and product development skills. Our candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent computer skills including all Microsoft Office programs (emphasis on excel) are a must. Strong analytical skills, including competitive analysis, forecasting experience, GM and P&L analysis and promotion analysis are necessary.
REQUIREMENTS
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
•Responsible for directing the development and execution of comprehensive marketing strategies and plans for all categories.Direct the creative, product and communication functions within the marketing department for hardgoods and dated products.
•Partner with the supply chain group to build best in class relationships with Asian suppliers.•Direct the new product development program to ensure the industry leadership position in product offerings, innovation and quality. •Develop Norwood brand as best in class in Industry.
•Direct activities critical to the timely and accurate production of the annual catalog.•Identify and exploit new product categories with growth potential.
•Participate in national trade show planning.•Directs Norwood advertising programs.•Directs the analysis of promotion effectiveness and reports results to key stakeholders.•Directs the strategic use of the Norwood brand and its use in communication efforts of the company.
•Develop and implement competitive analysis and research initiatives, such as focus groups and surveys.
•Responsible for keeping the Operations, Finance and Sales Teams fully informed concerning all relevant information involving the marketing efforts.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
•Four-year degree in field of Marketing or Business. MBA preferred.
•Minimum of 15 years Merchandising/Marketing experience.
•Minimum of 8 years marketing executive experience.
•Promotional product industry experience preferred.
•Strong project management experience.
•Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
•Ability to travel overnight.
•Excellent computer skills.
•Demonstrated customer focus.•Demonstrated ability to grow topline sales.
