Senior Structural Engineer

For over 25 years, our comprehensive service offering, total commitment to customer service, and specialized expertise have earned Sigma a reputation of excellence in the A/E community.Sigma has an immediate opening in our Indianapolis Office for a candidate who can lead our structural department, and who is a hands-on manager with practical experience leading the structural design of water and wastewater treatment facilities, hydraulic structures, tunnels and shafts, and other building/renovation projects. Candidates must be proficient in the design of concrete, steel, and masonry type structures.Responsibilities: The Candidate will:
•Complete structural analysis
•Prepare structural plans and prepare specifications
•Review contractor submittals and shop drawings
•Coordinate standard details to project and specification•Forecast workload and schedules for project team
•Supervise and provide QA review of engineers and CAD designers
•Manage budgets, schedules, communication and documentation on projects
•Serve as technical expert and interface with client and contractors
•Coordinate with other disciplines and functions
•Estimate fees, determine scope of work, and assist with preparing proposals
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications:
•B.S. Civil Engineering minimum, MS in Structural Engineering preferred.
•P.E. License, with ability to be licensed in Indiana
•15 years experience in structural analysis and design
•Min. 5 years PM, supervisory/office management experience, or experience leading a structural department
•Proficiency in AutoCAD and latest structural analysis software, MS Office (Word, Excel)
•Excellent writing skills, and experience in and comfortable with client presentations.•Transportation, airport, Water & Wastewater, and Business Development experience is a plus.Sigma is looking to fill key position in our management team that will help us continue growing.We offer an excellent benefits plan.
